Help! Need advice! New to RVing

We are new into rving and have not yet made a purchase. I would like any and all suggestions anyone can offer. The 5th wheel we are looking at is a 2018 42ft Forest River Sandpiper 383. It has 2 ac units and 4 slides. What additions or packages should we consider and are there any particular questions we need to ask the dealer? Are sandpipers good quality?

    Most people like them. For their price they seem to be OK.
    Only real advise I can offer you is be sure you have enough truck to handle the GVWR of the trailer. PDI is absolutely paramount. Do a close inspection of everything. A word of advise, video your PDI walk through.

    I hope you have some towing experience already. If not that's a huge trailer to learn on. I don't know if you have a truck to pull it yet either but you will be solidly in diesel dually territory with a trailer that size.
    No matter what you ask the dealer just remember their main objective is to get you to buy the trailer. I find that I often know more about a product than the salesman because I've already researched it.
