Try cutting several places without cutting too far into the threads. The more cuts you make the easier it will come apart. You can use a hacksaw blade to make the cuts. Just make sure you have cut the whole length of the fitting. The male threaded section is not as thick as the rest of the pipe. Then use pliers to twist a section causing it to pull away. You are right, ABS glues much more like melting the pieces together. I was a plumber when ABS was the only drain pipe we used. You can get it apart, just keep cutting smaller section. Once you get a piece to twist enough it will pull apart. Then you can get the rest out. Just keep working at it and Good Luck.
