I agree with the others about diesel; mine is a long bed 3500 so the reasons given by others are exactly how I feel too. Great daily driver and towing is no comparison to gas (I've done both). And, I will add one more benefit to a diesel than gas; with gas you have to fight the little cars at gas stations and plan ahead on how to exit once you pull up to the nozzle. With diesel you can choose to go to a truck stop and pull right through. Sometimes there are lines but truckers are pretty good about not wasting time. Just remember to pump then get out of the trucker's way then go in and pay.
