Hide-a-spare

Has anyone had any experience with this product from BAL? I would love to install one of these on our 5er. I would appreciate it if anyone could relate their experience thanks, John
  • :B Where do folks get all of those "unsightly tires"? Wonder why they're unsightly on the bumper but look just fine on the axles? :) Looks to me like a solution looking for a problem to solve.
  • Excellent idea. I went to the Website for pricing but couldn't even find the product number. Anyone have an idea what the msrp is for this?
  • I looked for pricing and finally found it here.
I am guessing that it is a new product. This is the only place I could find that even had a listing for it. I removed my spare tire and carrier from my rear bumper when I installed a cargo carrier. I think this would work well to mount the spare instead of just carrying it in the bed of the truck. Thanks, John
  • That's pretty slick. Looks like I may another DIY project:)
Skip, LOL, totally agree, who lets their tire look like that?
  • Great idea! I'm going to see if I can incorporate 2 of these to carry my Port-A-Bote.
  • I emailed them. It is a new product. Here is what they said...

    Matt,

Thank you for your interest in our BAL Hide-A-Spare. Since this is a relatively new item not many distributors are stocking them yet. Once you decide which model you need you may need to have your local RV supply store special order it for you. Or you can contact www.campingworld.com; www.colawrvs.com; or www.nonstopshopper.com. They all are very good with special orders. Delivery will depend on our available inventory.

That is what I was thinking, 2 spares on one of these.....
  • Slicksville baby!

    The spare underneath is cool.
