It is a good mountain road. We pulled our 37 footer over it in November after the first winter storm passed through. There was ice over the top and we survived. Make sure you have adequate supplemental braking (ie exhaust brake) as it is a long gradual drop to the valley floor. Also note that depending on the day people do commute that highway back and forth so you will need to allow faster traffic to pass pretty regularly. There are plenty of turnouts; use them.
