After my Dad's house was broken into 8 times while he was suffering from dementia living with us, I now know there really isn't much that will stop a true thief.
No matter what we tried the thieves were able to defeat our attempts at securing his house, garage and 3 sea containers used to store stuff on his property in the desert. They used power tools, liquid nitrogen and brute force to get in over the course of the 8 break ins.
The only thing that worked was to sell the property.
If they want it bad enough they will get it....no matter what you do.
