WOW lots of great ideas here. Really like the ones mounted in front of pin box. Not sure if that would work for us. Our truck is not an 8' bed.Just FYI from our experiences: We have tried hauling the bicycles inside on two different campers and it was a TOTAL hassle, but they will stay clean. Once was inside a very small motorhome and by the time the trip was almost over my husband was ready to leave them on the side of the road. In our other fifth wheel he made up a rack to put them on the folded down dinette table all wrapped up and padded. Too much trouble to unload them in/out the door all the time plus we still had to haul our rack around with us. We are avid bicyclists and ride Rails to Trails all over the country when we are not hiking. Ideally, depending on how much you ride, just get a camper that is built to allow the bikes to be on a rack on outside of camper somewhere easy to load and unload. Our bikes are very nice so we have them covered and that could not be done on a front bumper. We like having the bicycle rack to put on the truck and when we do shuttles on all-day rides with friends we can haul 4 bikes (2 on the rack on the truck and two in the back end of the truck with little $20 clamp device you can get at bike shops). I have seen the warnings on new bike racks re: putting them on a camper, well the heck with that! BTW I don’t believe the Kuat racks give such a warning re: the warranty, but I could be mistaken. Good luck on your quest. Come bike with us!! Headed to the Rail Trails in MN and WI next summer.
