I assume full forward is 4" ahead of center, if correct you are saying there is only 3" of travel from full front to full rear???
Back in 13, I talked with B&W tech, as it seemed to me, using their rail mounting instructions at that time, would be too close to cab. They did not have custom rail frame mounts available then, for SuperDuty, using Patriot hitch, just universal brackets. The tech told me, that farthest rear position would put pin 1" ahead of axle center. Not sure where from axle center, that full forward would be, and custom mounting brackets were later available, possibly changing axle center distances.
