Hot water heater question
Has anyone figured out what is cheaper, leaving your hot water heater on electric on all the time or turning it on and off as needed. The world wonders.

When you are at a CG that charges extra for electric and it's metered AND they charge an arm and a leg for electric?
I just plumb refuse to 'throw' money away at an overzealous electric charging CG.
And why heat up water only to let it get cold and then heat it up again over and over and over again all day for nothing?
I simply flip the switch on before I shower and then shut it off. IMHO even more important when on propane. Wastes propane and I can't stand the smell of the exhaust and I'm guessing my CG neighbors don't like to smell the exhaust either. :W
