Hot water heater question
Has anyone figured out what is cheaper, leaving your hot water heater on electric on all the time or turning it on and off as needed. The world wonders.

When I only had a gas wh I'd start it in the morning then turn it off. Start it again about dinner time and cut it off after showering, sooner if we didn't shower. Our current MH has both gas and electric where the electric draws only 4 amps, I leave the electric on all the time, and use the gas if we need a quicker recovery.
