I use a pair of THESE. I put one completely retracted on the front of the hitch. The other one is extended fully at the end of the bed exactly in the center.
I watch my rear view mirror and line up the 2 tennis balls and the center of the pin. It works perfect every time. The hitch pin knocks them over as I back in. I just gather them up after I'm hooked up.
The only thing to watch is the height and I can tell when I'm close when the last arm is knocked over.
