Is there a better easier way to do it?
Yikes!
and ....... whatever works *for you* - do what you've gotta do!
Easier way for your combination of truck & hitch - don't know?.:@
Here's my procedure for a PullRite SG with a QuadCab Dodge:
Back up "close" and check alignment.
Note: The SG head has a V "notch" and the head can be moved 16 degrees left to right. (So you don't have to be "spot on".
I also have a remote to extend/retract the stabilizer jacks.
(To raise lower the front of the trailer - and the pin)
Tailgate is a "V" gate.
It stays closed - whether hitching or un-hitching.
Jaws in open position.
Back up by watching through the rear window of the truck.
Can do same via the rear-view mirror.
Align the front of the trailer & pin up or down as needed from cab.
Back up, lever bangs to closed position. Done..:C
Probably took longer to enter this info than to do it..:W
