Yes i have a reese hitch slider and I leave it in the manuver mode when I hitch up. I leave the tailgate down and check after linig up for height. Shut tailgate after hooked up if I am putting it in the drive I leave it in manuver mode if we are headed out slide the hitch forward and we are off. The more practice as with anything the better and easier gets.
