How durable is a rubber roof?

I had just replied to a topic about an RV roof and it got me to thinking. We are camping right now is a SP. Unfortunately we are under a walnut tree!!! Boy are those walnuts loud when they hit the roof, I think the wife had to change her shorts twice already!!! LOL

Anyway moving to another site is not feasible as the campground is almost full. My question is, can the roof be damaged from the falling walnuts? I will get up there and check later but it is raining now. Thanks, John
  • No that kind of stuff won't hurt the roof. Most damage comes from low branches cutting the rubber. It doesn't take much.
  • I wouldn't worry about a few walnuts, a couple years ago our trailer went through a major hailstorm. Most of the "tin" campers were heavily damaged or totaled but ours came through with only a broken taillight. But my truck had over $5000 damage.
