Living in Chicago suburbs at the time, bought our fiver just North of Richmond, VA. About 800 miles.
We searched for the model we wanted for 2 years. When I found one I had a local RV tech give it the once over, then I flew to Virginia and checked it out myself. Bought it, then drove there with the truck to pick it up.
This was in 2007. We are currently living full time in that fiver, have towed it close to 100k miles, lived in it for 5-6 months a year for the last seven years.
