For Wally camping the slides go out. All of them. Never had a complaint. No matter what you are taking up a line of parking bays. Slides out do not equal the depth of a bay.
JMO, but buying based on slide in useability does not make sense.
Totally respectfully disagree. I know you are a very experienced camper and this is not your 1st rodeo but there needs to be some consideration given to access with slides in.
Slide access is not the sole deciding factor but it may make the difference between 2 models.
Being able to operate with slides in has advantages.
Sure there are time when it won't matter.
But there will also be times where being able to turtle will be prudent.
I have 5 slides and decent access to everything except fridge.
Not a deal breaker but there are some newer Open Range models with 4--5 slides and no bathroom access, which is a deal breaker.
To buy a rig and ignore the slide access issue would be a mistake.
