RVs are such an emotional, frivolous purchase. A lot of people get into it knowing little about how it works and the dealers make a killing. For example - "MSRP @ 30K but we just happen to have an amazing sale this weekend and you can buy it for 26K." Wow! that sounds great, thinks the buyer. Problem is the poor uneducated buyer should have paid 22K. So, after 3 years camping they go to sell and expect to get 22K.
Most TT/5th wheels can be had for around 2/3 to 3/4 MSRP. Maybe less on an expiring model during a winter month at a hungry dealer. Maybe more in prime season on a popular model from a dealer that isn't too motivated.
