If one were to decide on an expensive product, how about taking the time to visit the factories?
It would seem to me to be somewhat of an adventure right there.
Agreed, we spent two years of vacations while still working to visit several factories on our short list. Watching assembly on some was an eye opener, missing insulation, cracked studs, crappy welds, etc.
We ended with a 1991 NuWa Champagne 40ft. We kept it until 1998 and ordered same brand, 38ft, with some custom changes. We still have that unit, fulltime in it, still in excellent condition. I am somewhat anal about maintenance, but its only been in shop three times. I used the folks in Chanute, for needed repairs and would again if something came up I could not handle or mobile guy.
YMMV Jim
