We kicked tires and looked at models in fall of '16. Was pretty much set on getting same brand we had at that time. THEN we went to a dealers lot while camping (raining so what a good idea to do right?---LOL). DW & DS saw floorplan, features in coach we eventually bought, BUT not at that time. Simply put it on back burner as we were approaching winter. Around Feb '17, we started to mull things over more. More research. Calls to 1 dealer, then another. March '17 we placed the order and picked it up in mid/late May spec'd out the way we wanted it. Tho still relatively young (mid 50's), this COULD be the last coach we buy. It fits the bill for us very nicely.
So in answer to the OP's question, just take your time. Don't make any rushed decisions. Yes most, if not all mfr's offer pretty much the same floorplans, each somehow does it differently. Just like Ford, GM and Ram.
