Yes, and no. Yes with a long TT, There are lots of campsites I can't get into. You have to settle for where you will fit. Seldom are they the best sites.
And no, on the highway. You won't be able to tell the difference between 37, and 33' of trailer. Of course until you want to turn into a driveway or side street. Then you may need to swing wider
