I fully agree that escape is the first and foremost action. I have seen a unit burn and it only takes about 3 minutes for one to become fully envolved in flame. With 2 30Lb propane bottles on board -- Get as far away as possible.
The most dangerous thing is all the plastics and the deadly gases they give off when burning.
BTW -- You need to shake those dry-chemical extingishers at least once every 6 months. Th epowder will "Cake" in the bottom if you don't shake them occassionally and their effectiness ids GREATLY diminished. They aren't worth too much to start with. As for count -- I have 3 in the 5ER and one in the truck.
