How many times can you torque bolts on a hitch?

I have a new Curt A 16 hitch that I have had to try and then adjust the height a few times to level out the trailer. Anyone know how many times you can torque the bolts that go into the hitch? They ar...

I hope the instructions say “after the first 500 miles”. If it’s actually “every” 500 miles that’s a ridiculous requirement. A daily visual inspection makes sense, but I’m not getting a torque wrench out every day or 2.
