How many times can you torque bolts on a hitch?

I have a new Curt A 16 hitch that I have had to try and then adjust the height a few times to level out the trailer. Anyone know how many times you can torque the bolts that go into the hitch? They ar...

Just checked the instructions again and it says check torque after the initial 500 miles and at 1,000 miles thereafter. Not too happy about every 1,000 miles. Will order a new set of bolts and go from there. The new trucks are a real pain due to the bed height. I have to tow a little nose high now to keep the bed rail clearance.
