You are likely to shear a roll pin that protects the motor from overload/overtravel.
This happened to me. DW forgot to pull the latch & tried raising the fiver. It sheared the pin as mentioned. Had to remove everything in the basement to access the motor. If yours is set up like a lot of keystone products expect that too happen or as mentioned blow a fuse
