My Open Range Roamer 337RLS came with the FURRION wireless backup camera. They mounted it at the top center of the rear wall, an it works okay. Just wish it had a wider angle lens, and didn't show the ladder so much. I would love to have it configured to operate full-time while driving, so I can see the boat or golf cart trailer I tow behind the fiver. Somehow, it is wired to only come on when in Reverse. I need to figure out how to rewire the power lead to come on when the headlights are on. Any suggestions???
Thanks,
Z
Remove the tail lights on the trailer and look for wires leading to it. Or they did it at the pinbox or junction in the front compartment. Call them and ask. Z - Rangerman40ExplorerI've looked into it for backing into tight spots, but am of the opinion that if you need one while driving you probably need a shorter rig if you can't even tell when to merge back over after passing someone..... My fiver is 40ft long and it's pretty easy to tell once you've passed someone and have sufficient room to get over.

I'd be willing to bet that you could buy another camera and finagle (to use a technical term) a bit of wiring to make it work.

- Racine96ExplorerVoyager all the time. Wireless. Love it.
- ORbikerExplorerI purchased the Garmin RV 660LMT 6" Touchscreen GPS and BC 30 Backup Camera from Costco when it was on sale for $399.
It's working good. I had to get an extension cord for the wireless because our rig is 42ft. - AZ_T_TExplorerI have a Tadi Brothers wireless camera. I got it for backing up and its great for that. What I love about it is changing lanes while driving. It really makes a big difference!
- laknoxNomadA friend has a big Newmar, towed with a Freightliner Sport Chassis. He added 3 cameras. One, high-center on the rear. One on each side in small enclosures painted to match his coach and mounted right behind the hitch "step", looking back. He has a 10" screen that he can zoom on a single cam or show all 3 in a split-screen. Normally his DW handles the switching as they drive. He loves it for checking blind spots, even with his extended mirrors.
