If I am selling or buying (car or RV) I tend to look at the NADA(or that other rating book) as a very broad estimate. I expect a private seller to get well under "retail" but over "trade in". Retail is what a dealer might price a rig for but not expect to get even close. The high retail allows them to be flexible on trade-in and to negotiate. If I'm selling and it's taking a long time I may eventually be happy to get anything over trade-in value.
