How the hell do i fix this????

Leaving tomorrow had a leak on my fresh water input went to tighten it and broke it off , it has a brass vale in a white tube with a very thick strong metal collar crimped on it. How do I replace it and is a rv place the only place I will find the white threaded part?

  • Crappy, ya im in evergreen... Beddignton, my old stompin grounds.

is the other end connected like a hose connection or is it permanently attached?
  • Ah man I am in beddington so far away and gotta go to work for half a day. then was going to leave can t now.

Can you explain how you replaced yours?

This is a simple water flow diagram...

This won't be a trip killer until you get it fixed. You can just fill up the fresh water tank when you arrive at your camp site and use the on-board water pump for your fresh water needs. A quick way to fill your fresh water tank at the camp site is to bring along a hand held water spigot and squirt water from the pedestal water connection directly into you fresh water tank. We use our fresh water tank and pump alot at camp sites that have low water pressure...

I don't know if you could glue the broken threaded port back together enough to use or not. I see the one-way valve is still in place so it should not leak when you pump starts working... If you start squirting water out of the city water connection with the pump running then you will need to stop this port up somehow...

    Always something huh !!!

  • Just did mine, Bought the connector at woody's. If you are in the SW area you are more than welcome to borrow my pex cutter and crimper.
  • Your going to have to cut that connection off at the crimp and get a new city water inlet and a compression fitting for the line.
Easy fix if you can find an open RV parts place.
  • Probably a PEX fitting, Home Depot/Lowes should have them. Maybe even ACE.
