In my case the two drawer slides are just screwed to the back wall of the storage area. The outer ends have a couple washers behind the slides so that it clears the lip of the storage area. We do not travel with the TV mounted. There are two pieces of black plywood that are hinged and have magnet latches that hold them at 90 degrees when the TV is out. The little mount still allow the TV a bit of viewing adjustment.
