How to raise a slideout?

Our 2002 Holiday Rambler needs the main slideout raised about a quarter of an inch. We replaced the carpeting with laminate and we're getting some scratching. Anyone familiar with what adjustments are possible?
  • You can also buy special strips that you put on the main floor to keep from scratching the laminate. Can't recall what they are called, but Tweety's or another major on-line parts place should have them.

My 2005 Forest River Cardinal has adjustments up and down, and left/right, on the furthest end of the slide-out. Easy to see when the slide is out. I had to adjust for the same reason. I used a floor jack and 1/2 drive socket.

By any chance, did you take pictures?

  • Almost all slideouts are adjustable for up/down, left/right, in/out. Get underneath and take a look. There are also many YouTube video's on the topic.
