How to take your skiff with you?

Perhaps an inflatable boat. We used to do a lot of blue water sailing and had an inflatable boat pushed by a small outboard to get ashore. You could store that, when not inflated, in the bed of your truck. It would cost about the same as a small boat combined with the cost of a rig to carry the small boat. And, it would be
much more stable.
