my 2013 2500HD 6.0 weighs in at 7200 with me and full tank of gas plus fifth wheel.
9500 is stamped GVW
5200 Front- actual is 3840
6200 Rear= actual is 3240
so my rear axle will take an additional 2760, yet my truck will only take an additional 2300... correct.
My fiver's dry weight is 7700; with an 11300 GVW. 20% of which is 2260. So based on my truck's GVW, I am good as long as nothing else goes in the truck.( My wife won't be happy)
With a normal camping load in truck say 400-500 lbs; this how far over my GVW I will be. Have I missed anything?
So the 5200 in the front...my actual of 3840 will vary much so that 1400 lbs in capacity are lost.
Just load up and go camping. Along the way stop at a scale if it worries you and then you will have actual numbers to deal with.
