A trailers GVW is useless except to figure out how much payload it can carry.
The trailers dry weight plus your gear and 20% for pin is all that's needed.
If I went with the GVW on my 5'er (11,500lbs) and 20% pin (2300lbs) then I couldn't tow it with my Ram 2500. But in the real world, which is the 5'ers UVW of 7185lbs plus 1500+/- we load in it puts the loaded pin weight at 17-1800lbs.
Under the 2176lbs for the trucks payload. By the time we load ourselves and other gear in we end up over the trucks GVW by 200lbs, but under the RAWR by 1100lbs and under the FAWR by 600lbs. My 5'er has a 4315lb payload capacity. Huge for any 5'er. So some common sense on loading helps with the overall weight picture.
To the OP, with your 7700lb dry weight and 1000-1500lbs of gear you'll be around 87-9200lbs loaded. 20% for pin 17-1850lbs for pin. Looks like you may go over GVW a little but stay under the RAWR.
