How to use scales at Pilot

I feel very stupid, but need help. I would like to weigh my RV and truck at a Pilot Travel Center. Is there an attendant who will help? Hopefully you don't just pay and go do it yourself, or I would never figure it out.

Thanks.
  • Thanks. I feel better having some idea about the process before I give it a go. I have marked a thread that explains the different measurements needed. Just wanted an idea about the procedure.

there is an attendant as noted, but its pretty simple

there are multiple separate 'plates'(or sections) as the scale floor,
drive til each axle u want to weigh is on a separate plate.

get out, walk inside and pay ($8 I think)..
if you want to weight the truck separate, tell them you will do a separate weigh, then drive off, unhook the FW in the lot, and drive back on, one axle on one plate, the other on another plate (or section). go back inside, etc..

have never had anyone talk to me while I was pulling onto the scale.
  • Yes there is an attendant to guide you thru the process, take your money, and print out the weight ticket.
