How to whiten the roof without harming wax job?

I previously used a dilution of bleach which worked great but I recently waxed the exterior and don't really think it would be good to have a bleach solution running down the side. :/. Is there anything that will whiten the roof without harming the wax job?

Yep and long handle brush and lots of water.
  • I use protect all rubber roof cleaner and it gets pretty white when I use it and then use protect all rubber roof protector after I clean it and it stays white for several months.

I haven't washed mine in two or three years because I cant see it and washing doesn't do it any good.
But I can see keeping it cleaner if it's visible like on some fivers.
  • Keep the bleach off the roof. It will dry out the rubber before it's time. Just use a soft brush & mild soap that will not hurt the roof or your wax job. I get the logic. Any dirt on the roof goes down the side.

  • Easiest is to simply use a mild detergent and a medium-stiff brush to scrub it. Now, if the roof is showing its age, the white coating may be flaking off to show the darker membrane.
