Personally I don't think the price has too much to do with the quality of the unit. Otherwise you'd see very few high end motorhomes with warranty issues.
When we picked up our toyhauler from the dealer we could see that he dealt mostly with motorhomes. He had a backlog of new, not used but new, motorhomes that were there for warranty work, some of which had been there for more than a few weeks. These were multi-hundred thousand dollar coaches too.
And we've met owners of 5th wheels that were not cheap and they have issues too. There are definitely quality issues up and down the price range.
