That's my fear is that membrane and anything else meltable. That's what I figured though... little bit here and keep it cool, move somewhere else and do a little bit. Luckily with so much work, but the time I make the rounds back to the beginning it'll have totally cooled down. Might even look into some of that heat shield goo too.
But, as they say "if you want something done right, do it yourself".
On the bright side, I have a 19 year old I can send under there to help with some of the paint removal. He's still young enough to find such things fun.
