I want a generator

Put the Supergen tent over the Champ for $100 and your right at that 65db while powering an A/C for $450.

For what your talking this is all you need.

If you absolutely want inverter technology still save your self $1300 and look seriously at the Champ 3100i for $950 which stacks right up against the Handy.

Yes. Good job. Wish more people could learn to live with less - while camping (electric coffee makers, geeze). My batteries are enough for us to enjoy up to 5 days without a recharge.

A Champion 4k generator that has the RV plug will make you the pariah of ANY campground. You won't even like it yourself. I don't care what the numbers say, THEY ARE LOUD. And it's an irritating loud, kinda like a jack hammer...

This is the best coffee maker I've found for camping.

Absolutely disagree. It's the quietest 30 amp construction type generator out there and no matter as OP stated not for campground.

The drycamping CGs have restricted genny times so having 2 gennys to run the AC is quite the expense for little return plus a place has to found for the second genny.

Seven long seasons, over 120,000 miles, lots of dry camping, no regrets just having the 1 genny. What we do have is a respectable battery bank & a large inverter. Nobody likes to listen to a genny, even if it is a Honda or Yamaha, so the inverter is great for charging camera batterys, phone batterys, some TV viewing & the small coffee maker & do it in silence.

For air, open the windows, the overhead hatches & turn the fantastic fan on.

We are going to Fishing Bridge this summer. We have reserved a full hookup site so there is no need for a gen. I am not sure you will need AC either. The weather varies wildly in Yellowstone lately. But normally, given the altitude, the nights are cool to cold. When we tented at Fishing Bridge (when you were allowed to years ago), we used a Coleman heater every night. Last trip a few years ago, it was in the high 90's every day and the nights were warm. Since you can't use a generator at night, A/C isn't going to be an option without a hookup. We have a 50 amp/water/sewage site. You may want to see if you can get one too.

Recently purchased the Champion 4K from Tractor Supply @ $329 after much research. Handles trailer and 13,500 A/C fine and quiet running. Very pleased. They all make noise.

We also have the Champion 4k from Tractor Supply. Very impressed with noise level and power it generates. Runs 15,000 ac and 39'fifth wheel nicely.
