That is not what I meant, I know 9900lbs is a lot, I guess I just expected it to be more for an hd pickup. Like I said, I haven't a lot of knowledge about towing a fifth wheel. I appreciate your taking the time to comment.
I had an 03 Chevy 2500 extended cab, short box 4X4 but it was a D/A with 3:73, I towed a 5er with a GVW of 10,000#...Do all my towing in the mountains and really didn't have any issues, but I don't think the 6.0 with it's tranny could handle the load the way the D/A did. I had an 01 8.1/A, now it could, but older 6.0's, would struggle in the mountains.
