Our truck is a little bit older than yours (2001) Our lift pump (FASS) went out while in Yuma, Az. At the time I knew nothing about how they worked. Got taken advantage of big time. Dealer two week waiting list. NAPA garage and so called warranty total waste of money. Mechanics kept replacing parts. By the time we left...had new draw straw, fuel module, sump on tank and new FASS.
After getting it back home in WA and taking to my mechanic...all I needed was a new FASS pump and not everything else.
I find it harder and harder to find places that fix these older 5.9's.
