Worst so far for me was a broken leaf spring on the trailer. I70 west between Glennwood Springs and Vail, at 5pm, on a Friday.
It was after midnight by the time CO Highway Patrol found a flatbed wrecker that would tow my little disabled trailer. All the truck/rv mobile repair guys were at the bar already or didn't want the job, one was actually snobby enough to say they only work on class A's. Fiat's roadside assistance was entirely useless, as was my insurance's roadside plan.
Another breakdown was rusted u-bolts sheared off, axle walked back on the spring and blew out the tire... of course, 5pm on a Friday, 20 miles south of Marquette MI. Lucky for me a mechanic was driving by, went back to his house and fashioned up enough of a u-bolt that I could limp to his shop where I could spend the night. Next morning, installed new u-bolts and back on the way.
