In search of that "perfect" 5th W..........

Hello everyone:
I had been a very satisfied owner of a 2001 Nash, when I bought it it was very well recommended, for construction and reliability.
I have been out of the "groove" for a long time and I'd
like to request some help.I'll be looking for a 5th W in the area of
25' with or without slide.Kindly advice brands that have good reputation
on the market.I remember Salems were not so hot then, maybe things have changed and today they maybe #1.......I'm looking forward to your replies and see if I can find what I'm looking for. Many thanks,Araucano.

The shortest ORV 5th wheel is 30'6".

  • Northwood is a great rv but 25 feet is really small for a 5th wheel not even sure they make them that small
  • I hear Northwoods make great RV's. Never seen one myself so I can't comment. However, Jayco seems to build good stuff, but I don't know how they are after Thor bought them. Also, the new DRV Aire seems to be built well, but some of the furniture seems to be built for small people under 5ft.
  • I can't say one brand is better than the rest as these things are built so fast and kicked out the door so quickly that quality control is non-existent. The line workers are paid by the piece so quantity is everything. I met a guy who worked the line at Keystone for four years and he said he'd never buy one.

My Voltage was a prime example as it had many problems in the first six months. Except for the broken main slide, I did all the repairs myself as I didn't want the trailer sitting at the dealer for months on end. Since that time the trailer has been very reliable.
