Dan. Tied to the running lights. Real easy to do. I am no electrician. I can change out a wall plug, and that's about it. The instruction book was well laid out. Picture is great! I installed it 5 inches below the running lights. Instructions say minimum of 2 inches.
Range marker are really handy. After install, I measured from the back of the trailer to object directly behind the trailer, my fence. Seven feet away. On the range markers on the monitor, it was the last red lines, before yellow, so, I will always know how much distance I have from the trailer to any objects. Especially handy when backing the trailer onto the RV pad along the house and the chain link fence on the other side.
