Our new fifth wheel came pre-wired for the furrion. I ordered the above system. I never would have ordered it if my camper wasn't pre-wired, but I thought why not try it? Install and set up was simple. I can watch my bikes on the bike rack going down the highway. Can see cars behind me easily on the highway. As far as using it for backing up, I don't find it very useful. I do just as well or better with the mirrors alone (and wife). With the mirrors and screen to watch, I find myself correcting or adjusting more than usual. I've only used it for backing up 3 times now. I also don't like the extra "object" in the cab of the truck to deal with. The included mounting bracket is useless. I stick the monitor in a cup holder where unfortunately it takes up space. If it came included with the camper, I probably wouldn't even use it. But because I bought and installed it, I feel obligated to use it for some reason. I did tow a fiver for 14 years prior to getting this, so maybe that's why I don't feel the NEED for it?
