The area where you connect the supporting cables needs to be strong enough to support the weight of the patio plus the additonal weight of people and anything else you place on it. This could be a significant amount of weight that the upper portion of your trailer may not be designed to handle. You might want to consider supporting the patio with something like a couple of auto jack stands.
