Let me know how they work out and where you got them from. If the 6000k are too bluish then what should I shoot for.
I don't want to sound like a total schmuck, but this topic has been cover quite a bit on the DIY and other forums on here. Lots of reading and opinions to get you thinking with just a little search. I just upgraded almost all my lights to LED. The best advise most anyone can give would be to purchase a couple different kelvin ranges and see what you and the wife like. Some will think a bulb is too yellow, others too white, others too blue.
I wouldn't do 6000k, but that's just me. You might like it. What about Lumens? How bright are you looking to make the light. Are they going behind a clear or frosted lens? No lens cover at all? I got all mine off ebay. Prices have surely come down the last 6 months. The G4's I bought 6 months back were like $45 for 20. Same bulbs for 20 are now down to $24. You will probably just have to jump in and buy something. There is not a one size fits all solution. What one guy tells you is great, might not be for you. Maybe one of your buddies upgraded some in his trailer. Go look at them.
