Is a long bed a requirement for pulling a 5th wheel?

That's all fine and dandy if people with short bed trucks stay within their trucks load ratings as in rear axle specifically.

I know this applies to all trucks but the short bed crowd seems to be the ones going down the road with their azz dragging and nose in the air.
