Is an upper tier trailer worth twice as much (price)?

Your first sentence makes me think you should just get the Vengeance. We looked at pretty much every available 5th wheel hauler that had our criteria without worrying about price, and settled on a mid-range one. We loved the Momentums but felt for our purposes, vacationing, it just wasn't worth it for us to spend the money on.

If we were buying to full time or even part-time, we would have done a Momentum without any qualms.
