I wouldn't bet the farm on that.... Do your homework and you'll find different with the newer F-150 compared to a host of 3/4 ton trucks.
Just because it is labeled 3/4 ton, doesn't make it better for towing or hauling especially in the older rigs.
Ok, so how do we do this..brand new 2014 1/2 ton versus older 2500's? or new versus new? OP has a 2012...we could compare to those....what's the rules for THIS thread:h
Do you want to compare the newer F150 with a newer F250 or 2500? 1/2 tons have come a long way..so have 3/4 tons...when I had a 3/4 ton, they had a GVWR of 9200#, now it's 10,000# and some have a GCWR higher than I had on an Older dually....You still don't have that on a 1500...Not saying you're not right, depending on what configuration you want to compare, but under like comparisons, the 2500 should have more payload and higher RAWR.
and again, we're talking brand spanking new 2014 F350 and F250's or 2500's...
