Is half-ton truck big enough for a lite weight fifth wheel?

Just to add my experience, We bought a half ton towable fiver to use our existing truck. We did tow that camper with our Dodge 1500 for a couple of years. I was exhausted when we finished a pull to and from. I could feel every breeze on the camper. We upgraded to a 3/4 ton and now pulling is effortless. I joke that I forget the camper is back there with the larger truck. Can you tow with a 1/2 ton? Yes. Is it easier with a 3/4 ton? Most definitely!!!
