You misunderstood. Why don't you go down to your local friendly Chevrolet, Ford, etc., dealer and open the driver's door and see the "PAYLOAD" listed under the tire sizes on the yellow and white sticker. Then figure out how a half-ton truck can tow a nearly 10,000 pound trailer (that's what most are rated for) and carry a family of three or four, with ice chests, easy ups, bikes, firewood, etc., then come back on here and report how they will stay within the payload amount you observed.
